“The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.”~Bertrand Russell

I saw this quote on the side of a local business this week. It hit me, since over the weekend I was complaining that I wasted so much time and never got into my workshop. This is how I wasted my time:

Alex and I ran errands
We took the dog for a walk around the lake
We took the dog to get a treat at the local pet store
Got take-out dinner
Visited with Alex's dad

Grocery shopped
Coffee with a good friend
Lunch with Alex's family for his brother's birthday
Put together a meal in the crockpot
Went to Seattle to pick up Tasha

So it is not like I sat on my butt watching lifetime movies all weekend (not that I haven't done that to), but some how I felt like I wasted the weekend. So this quote snapped me back, while yes I need to take time for myself and what I want to do...but I also need to spend with my loved ones and doing for them as well. =)

  1. Doesnt sound like wasted time to me at all! :D

  2. Looks like a fabulous weekend to me :)

  3. Sounds like a nice weekend. THis is what I'm doing if I'm wasting my time... watching tv. That's wasting your time. lol.

  4. I can sooo relate....great reminder that time doesn't have to be productive to be well spent.

  5. you did yoga! get a point for that.

  6. Oh, you have made me feel so much better.
Sometimes I wonder what it is I did all day...
thanks for putting it all in perspective!

  7. Well said. We do need to take time to be with loved ones.
